Pastoral Care
Mission Statement: We are called to put our faith into action--to identify and respond to pastoral needs in our parish community, so that all may experience the reconciling love of Christ.
For Pastoral Care concerns contact Kathleen Rinehart, 404.284.3257

Casserole Brigade
Members of the Brigade provide meals and other kinds of support to parishioners in times of challenge and crisis—a new baby, an illness, a death in the family, as yet another way of showing our love and concern for people in need.

Eucharistic Visitors
Eucharistic Visitors, also known as Home Communion Ministers, extend the Eucharist beyond the church itself by taking the sacrament to sick or shut-in parishioners. Any adult communicant may be licensed to serve with permission and training from the rector.

Funeral Receptions
When a family requests it, parishioners are available to put together a simple reception in the Parish Hall following the funeral service. This can be a real comfort to families as they struggle with the grief of having lost someone.

Guild of the Christ Child
This guild is for newborns and their families. Please contact the clergy and/or your shepherd when a child is born or adopted. A bootie with your names and the child’s name will be placed on the Guild of the Christ Child bulletin board in the crossing hall. A member of the guild will also visit your home to deliver a gift for your child.

Shepherd Ministry
The Shepherd Ministry began in March 2009 in an effort to better embrace all of our Epiphany community. The ministry is carried out by Shepherds, parish members who have been called and trained to serve their fellow parishioners. They serve as a link between parishioners and the clergy and a variety of parish resources. Each Shepherd is assigned to a cluster of no more than ten households. The Shepherds act as a safety net to ensure that the church community and its spiritual, emotional, and physical resources support the individuals and families in their cluster when major life events occur.

Special Friends
Special Friends visit our sick and shut-in parishioners, in their homes or in hospitals or nursing homes.

Transporters
Transporters offer rides to church, to the grocery store, and to doctors’ appointments.

Young Families Potluck
The young families potluck meets monthly for families with children up to age 5. This group gets together for fun while the kids play on our playground, and then they share a casual and oftentimes rambunctious dinner!
