YOUTH MINISTRY
Epiphany's Youth Ministry serves members of our parish in 6th through 12th grade. It strives to support and encourage youth as they follow in the way of Jesus by fostering radical belonging, spiritual growth, and service to others
-
Radical belonging - creating a community in which the love and acceptance of God is practiced through the giving and receiving of welcome, companionship through struggle, and mutual encouragement.
-
Spiritual growth - facilitating an atmosphere of curiosity, exploration, and learning regarding one’s relationship with God, scripture, church traditions, and the lives of the saints
-
Service to others - engaging with our surrounding contexts and communities to work toward bringing about God’s justice and hope

YOUTH FORMATION
Sundays, 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in Room 201
This fall (2022), the youth will be reading through the book of Luke together. They will be paying special attention to the gospel’s context, style, and themes in order to better explore the person of Jesus and what the text might offer to people of faith.

YOUTH GROUP
Sundays, from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. (at Epiphany, except for the 1st Sunday of the month)
On Sunday nights during the school year, youth and adult volunteers gather from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. at Epiphany for Youth Group. The first half hour is dedicated to games and social time, the second half hour to Bible Study and formation, and the third half hour to breaking bread together (at least twice per month, we’ll share a meal together at youth group). On the first Sunday of the month we’ll meet at Holy Trinity for Fellini’s pizza with their youth, and on the third Sunday of the month their youth will join us for youth group at Epiphany.
This semester at youth group (fall 2022), we’re mapping our stories; the stories we inherit and inhabit as Americans, as people in Atlanta/Decatur, as people of faith, etc. We’ll discuss how stories shape and impact us, and how the stories of scripture and the church have the power to transform.
Adult volunteers are essential for making these programs and special events feasible and meaningful. Ask us about ways that you can get involved or support these ministries to youth at Epiphany! Email eelder@epiphany.org.
EPISCOPAL YOUTH COMMUNITY
The Episcopal Youth Community of the Diocese of Atlanta, also known as eycdioatl, is a vibrant community of youth spanning over 100 worshiping communities of Middle and North Georgia. We believe in forming disciples by sharing the all inclusive and unconditional love of Jesus Christ. We fulfill our purpose through worship, service, and spiritual formation at diocesan youth events. We invite all middle and high school youth to be a part of this inclusive community. Together, we let the world know we love like Jesus.
Want to know more? Contact us. We can't wait to welcome you into our community. We are eycdioatl, and we already love you.
