Epiphany's Youth Ministry serves members of our parish in grades 6 through 12. We provide a place where they can explore their own faith journey, and join an inclusive community that welcomes everyone regardless of where they are in their spiritual life. We have conversations about faith and issues affecting our lives, get involved with our community by engaging in service projects, and have fun hanging out with friends.
The youth of the parish are divided into two groups on Sunday Mornings at 10 a.m.
Middle School (6th – 8th)
The Middle School youth meet in the basement classroom for formation. This year we are utilizing “Lesson Plans that Work,” a publication of the Episcopal Church that follows the Revised Common Lectionary. Teachers: Lisa Daily, Matthew May, John Wierwille, Jason Wiles.
High School (9th-12th)
The high school confirmation class will meet in Room 201 beginning January 19, 2020. We will study the book My Faith, My Life, and explore together what it means to live out our Baptismal Covenant in the Episcopal Church. This also serves as confirmation prep, but all high school youth are invited to attend the class whether or not they are seeking confirmation. Those who choose to be confirmed at the end of the program will participate in the Confirmation service on March 22 at the Cathedral. A registration link will be posted soon. Teachers: Stephanie Everett, Doug Kertscher, Sy Burnett.
Sunday nights during the school year, youth and dedicated adults gather for activities from putt-putt to planting trees, laughing and eating, sharing stories and their lives in a relaxed setting.
